Naviskauto 10.1 2 screen DVD player was delivered. Everything you need was included in the set. Well packaged, delivered quickly. No complaints whatsoever. When I contacted customer service, I quickly received a competent and satisfactory answer and response. I'm happy with that.
I bought this DVD player (master) and second screen (slave) for a long holiday trip by car, which we have now behind us. So the device has been tested and I can give a very good recommendation with a clear conscience. This may help others looking for the “perfect” device at a reasonable price. We have 1 child. Why did I choose this model? It makes a lot of sense to make sure that the device has a battery and a memory function. So we mainly operate the device in the car with the car charging cable. For example, if you switch off the engine at the gas station, the device simply continues to run on the battery. If you take a break and switch off, the device starts at the last place you were. These 2 functions are really very practical. Operating the device with the remote control is now really self-explanatory and easy. Our 5 year old would probably be able to do it too, but as parents we want to have control during the trip. DVD change, volume, switching between playing DVDs, films via USB/or Memory card or just music. So it made sense for the little one to just attach the screen/slave to dad's headrest and place the actual player/master with mom, who could then operate everything from the passenger seat. All cables are of sufficient length for our needs.
If you like, you can take the player with you to the hotel/tent and the child can watch their favorite pieces even when they are away from home. It can even be connected to a television using the included cable (black/red/yellow - of course no HDMI). The second screen simply remains plugged in in the car.
Attachment in the car to the back of the front seats or to the headrests. Two brackets are included, which probably promise the best hold.
It should also be said that you should of course not expect image quality a la flat screen from your living room or expensive tablet. For me, however, the picture and sound are absolutely satisfactory, although of course it always depends on the medium to be reproduced. The decisive factor for “good vision” is the viewing angle of the monitor and therefore the installation variant. There were no problems with DVDs. Of course, the player makes a running noise when playing a DVD. However, this is absolutely bearable. The device doesn't get particularly hot either. You have to pay attention to the correct wiring, which is very well described and labeled. Volume adjustment with and without headphones is very sufficient, even on the highway. Audio, picture or video files from USB or SD cards need the right format, which was quite easy for me as a relative layman to solve for video files using a converter. Comparable devices are no better in this regard. Video MP4 format or too high a resolution pose a problem. The device also displays folder structures relatively cleanly.
And yes, do you need such a device? I'm relatively "old school" and fondly remember vacation trips with long periods of looking out the window and discovering things, playing I-see-what-you-don't-see games, guessing license plates, sleeping every now and then, etc., but also and probably annoy the driver. So it was nice to have this device with us and even nicer to find out that our son didn't want to "stare" all the time, but that we were very relaxed with this option behind us. Will plug it in for longer rides. Tablet was not a solution for us.
